Do you have any italian shrimp dishes?
Good food quiet spot
Good food and great service. I wouldn't call it the very best on the island but if you want just some good casual food with a pirate environment, this is a good place to go to. I got the fancy strawberry rita in a pinapple and it was delicious!
MoreDon't go to this establishment, 3 of the plates for a table of 10 had hair. The orders came out and it resembled a child menu in looks and portions..... again not to re mention the hair on the plate and hair wrapped in the shrimp and batter.... utterly nasty.....took pictures and will be forwarding all info to Texas health commission
MoreService was slow. Food was good.
The gumbo was delicious, staff was very nice and seafood was fresh and juicy! I love this place!
MorePlease disregard my 5 stars. I only put 5 so my rating would be visible. This was by far the worst place and worst customer service I have ever received! They have a dog roaming around their establishment sitting and begging for your food, they constantly have to yell at it to get away from your table. There was a worker walking around cursing around my children. The food was decent, but they use a cheap store bought batter that over tastes the sea food. If you have a choice go elsewhere. It was definitely not worth $100 for three adults and three kids meals that were corn dogs. If you want to feel like you are eating in a creepy market/restaurant/home of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, this is the place to be.👍🏼
MoreThe food was honestly 5 out of 5. The food took a while to come out 30 minutes for snow crab. Plus worker there took pictures of my girlfriend and other women that were customers that come into the restaurant. I did call him out when I noticed this and notified the manager. I encourage others to do the same if you see that male.
MoreReally disappointed , this place and way overpriced 🤬🤬
**This review is for the market section onlyPlus: shrimp was fresh and delicious. Snapper was good also. Homemade tartar sauce was good.Minus: prices were unposted and turned out to be high ($26 for 10 shrimp and 1+ lb. of red snapper). Employee at the market offered no guidance but broadly hinted that he wanted a tip (for what - wrapping up our purchase?!).Misc.: Don't know if this is standard but the skin was still on the snapper.
MoreAt first this didn’t seem like a first choice .. but omg the food was delicious!!!!!!! Waitress was very nice and attentive! My daughters loved it! N so did me n my husband! We ordered the fried fish n fries and plate was super delicious 😋 They also have a small gift shop which was great for the kids !! I really recommend this place! I’m glad we stopped here ❤️ Will for sure be back
MoreNot the place to go if you like fried oysters. I really didn't care for the cornmeal batter and they were overcooked. Ordered a dozen and got 9. Way overpriced for the amount of food you get.
MoreThe service was amazing, the food left a lot to be desired. We ended up in Port A on a whim and were looking for quick bite before we left. We pulled in here because it was the only place with an empty parking spot and everything was about to close. The food was subpar at best. I expect fresh seafood in a beach town, and I’m certain it was not. The fish tacos were bland, the popcorn shrimp was plain, pre frozen shrimp you find on a buffet, and the regular shrimp was not much better. The onion rings were pretty good though. Again, service was superb, our waitress was cheerful and sweet.
MoreFood was Hot... fish is tilapia, bland, pricey. Waitress was friendly. First and last time for us..
MoreOne of the better places in Port A. Unique environment. This time the service was terrific. Some prior times been marginal service. This place has excellent oysters and shrimp. Highly advise oysters on the half shell or boiled shrimp or iced shrimp. All amazing. The grilled red fish was slightly salty and amberjack was decent. Only complaint is the drawn butter. It seemed to be country crock or similar versus real butter. Overall. I like this place, especially for the oysters and shrimp. Will return.
MoreIt's so good, fresh and cooked to perfection! We make the drive from Ft Worth to this place and never been disappointed! Staff & Owners are also great people! Plan your next weekend getaway.😊
MoreSo, this is not a fancy place. Know this before you go. If you need a fancy place without wood paneling and a dog living there, go across the street. Service has never been fantastic, but it's ok. The things you should order are, fresh oysters, key lime pie, crab balls, beer, tea. Eat that and you will be happy. It's consistent, except they do run out of items and it is what it is.
MoreWaitress was very good while quite busy. Gumbo came out lukewarm. Sent back to warm. Heavy on the Tabasco. Would have been great with a lighter touch. Like most places on the island not cheap
MoreThis seafood Is absolutely amazing! Very clean restaurant & nice People as well. I don’t know why It’s not rated 5 stars
MoreFood was great loved the cocktaik shrimp!! Friendly staff.
Food was ok , the server was really nice. The owner was very rude and made comments about the bathroom flooding and looked over at our table and said " was there kids in there playing?" Will not return and this was our first visit there.
MoreGood service pretty smiles n good friend seafood
Fast friendly service. Bring your id!!!!!
The wait time was around 40 minutes after ordering even though the restaurant was only 1/3 full. One fish order was RAW and rice was hard and barely cooked. The food that was cooked was good but was ridiculously overpriced for the small portions you get. Also they didn’t send out food in the order that people arrived. They cooked smaller orders before ours which was only 6 people and when ours got to the table they didn’t bring everyone’s order to the table at the same time. They also didn’t take any of our meals off the ticket or discount them for being raw or uncooked just because they brought us replacements later on. Do not eat here, you will get way better service and hospitality for the same price at other places.
MoreGiant fresh shrimp! Best oysters I’ve had on the Texas coast
We’ve eaten at Oceans Of Seafood many times over the years. The best fish platters in Port A .. and first class service from Chelsea. We never miss eating at Oceans of Seafood when we are in Port A. Our highest recommendation!
MorePortion sizes were tiny. My husbands mahi mahi was smaller than a child's plate, and we don't think it was really mahi but probably tilapia. We ordered a piece of key lime pie. It was so small it was eaten in 3 bites.
MoreWell, they admitted to losing our ticket after we noticed many other tables that came in after us had even finished their food. They made up for it by giving us all our beer and drinks free. My oysters were not stuck to the shell, as if just shucked-- yet they still tasted fresh. The food we ordered was fantastic. The crab balls are a must! Our waitress tried to accommodate the mishap fantastically. There was another waitress who seemed like she just got promoted and took the promotion to her head and was extremely rude to our waitress right in front of me as I was paying. Our waitress offered to check us out, and this rude young female said to her with rolling eyes and a nasty tone "go clean as I said before, and I wont tell you again". Not a good thing to do in front of customers who enjoyed their waitress hospitality. Overall, great seafood. We will be going back!
MoreI have had fried seafood platters all over the U.S. but let me tell ya, this was some of the best to ever hit my pallet! Definitely has a small town feel, but its genuine and laid back. Good people, and great food* (don't forget the homemade key lime pie, it will change your life)
MoreGreat shrimp! Fresh and delicious! 👍
Nice little seafood market
Food great. Service good. However, they will not seperate checks. They serve canned drinks, not fountain.
MoreDisregard all the one and two ratings. This place is fantastic. If you're looking for real fresh fish tacos, shrimp cocktails ,snapper ,snow crab ,stone crab ,king crab ,and awesome homemade key lime pie. This is the place. The girls are fantastic and phenomenal. They have a store inside that you can purchase all kinds of things. And as you can see in the picture they have very relaxing and laid-back atmosphere.
MoreWe loved it! Snapper, crab, and shrimp cocktail were delicious!
We found 3 plates with hair in it. The food tasted like it was seasoned with water and now I have a headache.the shrimp was good when I didn't find hair wrapped around it.would give a zero star if I could
MoreUpdate: May 2018: Rebuilding almost complete after Hurricane. It's looking great. They offered a limited menu such as boiled shrimp, pie, and some other options. They even gave our doggie some water while we sat outside to have our lunch. Gumbo and pie were delicious. Bless you. We'll return again.2017: Fresh flounder and shrimp!! Yum. Enjoyed food and service. Thank you. PS: they have a fish market gift shop too.
MoreLooking for fresh boiled shrimp? This is definitely the place. Staff was friendly and accommodating and OMG that was the best shrimp boil ever. Hit the spot! Thank you!
MoreHorrible experience, we were never acknowledged and when asked if someone was going to take out order we were ignored
MoreThis place was amazing!! The food was fresh and delicious! I cannot express how good this was... hush puppies ( Best ever!)... Fried Fish ( Amazing!) Fried Shrimp ( Absolutely delicious!)... the restaurant itself is pretty quaint and simple, has a fish market area when you come in, mom and pop, laid back atmosphere, very casual... the food was pretty damn Awesome!!
MoreThe best shrimp po boy I have ever had! Food is always fresh and delicious. Highly recommended, fast and friendly service.
MoreHave really liked this place in the past. Hopefully just caught them on an off day. Price was a but high for the quality and quantity of food.
MoreShrimp cocktail, mahimahi, fries, corn fritters. The staff here was friendly and service was on point. We enjoyed the atmosphere, as it seemed to be a family run business and the staff all were pleasant with each other as well as with us. But.......the food. The shrimp and fish tasted fresh, however the portions were absurdly small. The corn fritters were dissapointing and tasted like toddler food. We must have ordered the wrong things, as other reviewers rave about the food.
MoreNice little spot for a casual lunch. Their oysters are the cleanest in town! No sand or small pieces of shell to crunch on. The fried fish was lightly breaded and beautifully fried. The shrimp gumbo is very tasty as well.
MoreFood was just OK. But no tea, very few condiments. Very pricey. Service was great.
MoreWaitress was extremely friendly. Very nice atmosphere. I guess we got off season prices-a little high. Food was good except a bit overcooked.
MoreThis place was great! The people are so nice and the food was awesomely fresh and so De-Lish!!
MoreThe wait staff was on point and the mahi-mahi was great!!!!
Ordered the shrimp and fish platter to go and it was delicious. Shrimp was fresh, plump and big. The fish was so tender and not over cooked just perfect. Now the coleslaw yummmm that was soooooo fresh and crunchy, definitely my favorite part of the meal. I’ll be returning next time I’m in Port A.
MorePretty good, neat place, decent food, not overpriced
The waitress was so sweet and helpful. The food however was fast food quality for restaurant prices. It was good, just not the quality you expect from a restaurant. The waitress made the the experience better. 5 stars for service.
